How much does an Omra cost? The answer depends on three things: your departure date, how far the hotel is from the Haram, and the room type. Many pages still show 2023 prices or a “from” price that matches no real date. For this guide we collected the prices published in France in October 2026, explain what an Umrah package includes, and help you work out the real budget for one or two people, including Ramadan 2027.

Umrah prices 2026–27: what we see in France
Off-peak, standard Umrah packages of 7 to 10 nights usually sit between €1,100 and €1,900 per person. September 2026 departures were advertised at €1,400–1,800, December 2026 school-holiday Umrah starts around €1,900, and Ramadan 2027 starts at about €2,000–2,600 depending on dates. What makes the price vary
Timing: Ramadan, the December and February school holidays and the May bank-holiday weekends are the most expensive. Distance to the Haram: a hotel on the plaza can cost several times more than one ten minutes’ walk away. Room: quads are cheapest per person, doubles the most expensive. Length: 7, 10 or 15 nights, and how they are split between Makkah and Madinah. Flight: a direct flight from Paris often costs more than one with a stop, but saves half a day.
Umrah without an agency: what budget?
Since the tourist e-Visa opened up, more and more French pilgrims organise Umrah themselves. The budget then builds up item by item: the flight from Paris to Jeddah or Madinah, which varies a lot by season and stopover; the e-Visa, a little over €100 with medical insurance included; hotels, from a few dozen euros a night for a three-star 10–15 minutes from the Haram to several hundred for a five-star with a view; transfers, by Haramain train or taxi between the airport, Makkah and Madinah; and finally meals and personal spending. A do-it-yourself Umrah can be cheaper off-peak for an experienced traveller. In Ramadan or school holidays a package is often better value, because agencies buy rooms and seats in bulk. Umrah price for two people
For a couple, the per-person quad price does not apply: you need a double room, which usually costs more per person. Depending on the agency, the double-room supplement can add several hundred euros per person on an 8–10-night stay. A realistic off-peak budget for a couple is therefore often €2,400–4,000 in total, plus meals and spending. Always ask for the double-room price in writing.
Ramadan 2027: plan the budget early
Ramadan 2027 is expected to start around 8 February 2027. The last ten nights are the most requested period of the year: hotels near the Haram fill up from the autumn and prices rise as the date approaches. How to pay less
Travel outside school holidays, share a room if you are a family or group, choose a well-reviewed hotel ten minutes from the Haram rather than one on the plaza, and always compare the all-in price (flight, visa, hotels, transfers) rather than the headline figure.
